Distressed jewel tone nails

I hooked up with lizzyprosser94 on instagram to do a jewel tone look. She did a makeup look and I did nails.

Here is how mine turned out:

I started with a purple base then using the dry brush technique I randomly added gold, metallic blue and a metallic pink. To add a bit more bling I added a clear gem at the base then coated the whole nail in a nice thick quick dry top coat.

Here is how Lizzy's turned out and I will add all of her links:

I really hope you all liked this collaboration. Please let me know what you all think below. I will talk to you all soon.

Black and blue

What's black and blue and marbled?
My nails...Lol
yes I changed my nail shape again
The best thing about this manicure is I used NO TOOLS! That's right kids I didn't use any nail art tools at all.
The polishes used are wet n wild black creme and sinful colors endless blue. I placed a blob of the the at the base of my nails then placed a blob of the blue over the other half of my nail. I wiped off any polish left on the brush and then kind of swirled the two colors together.
shorty short nails

I pulled away as much of the excess nail polish as I could then topped them with 2 coats of my quick dry top coat.  So that is that I really like how they came out let me know what you all think.

Until next time

Tie dye nails with roses

What's better then tie dye and roses? Hello putting them together so that's just what I did.

Using a makeup sponge I layered a pink, white, orange, white once more and a yellow polish and sponged it over one coat of white polish. I sponged over the nail twice and then added a top coat to blend the colors better.

Then on the ring finger I put on two coats of white polish and let it fully dry. Then I mixed the same colors I used for the other fingers with some polish remover and using a q-tip I made the rose shape. I finished up the roses with the polish full strength and a small nail art brush I added the detail to them. After adding the green leaves and letting it dry a it I added a layer of top coat and that's it.

Well I really hope you guys like this design as much as I do and I am 100% going to try roses again. That's all for now I will talk to you all later.

Tiffany leopard

I wanted something really simple and really pretty so of course with the help of  Pintrest and the hubby this is what I did.
I used wetnwild I need a refreshmint ,Sally Hansen in bittersweet and a random peachy nude color. For the leopard print I used a large dotting tool and I need a refreshmint , the smaller side of the dotting tool and bittersweet then I let them dry a bit and added a quick dry top coat then I was all done.

So I did the same design on my toes but I didn't take a picture if you all would like to see toe nail designs then please let me know and I will hook you all up. Well that's all for now folks I will talk to you all later.

Metallic Splatter nails

Since doing my Jason Halloween nails I have been wanting to try splatter nails in another way, so I did a metallic version and here is how it came out:
 I used:
a straw cut in 4 pieces
a sliver polish
a metallic green, yellow and purple polish

So there are somethings I learned doing this manicure that I would like to share with all of you lovely people.
1) It is very very messy and is a pain in the butt to clean up
2) Use either really thin nail polish or acrylic paint
3) Blow hard
4) Make sure your straw is covered
And finally 5) IT IS VERY VERY VERY MESSY so make sure to cover your area with something you don't mind getting polish on.

All in all I will defiantly be doing this type of manicure again once I get some acrylic paints that is. Here is just one more picture of my nails:

Let me know what you all think about this look. Is it something you would try? If so what colors would you use? I would love to see if any of you do this type of manicure. Well folks that's all for now talk to you all soon.

Spring Nails

Hello everyone it is spring time and it was time for me to reshape and redo my nails so I did and this is how they came out:

I knew 3 things going into this manicure:
1) I wanted to do a french tip
2) I wanted it to be a chevron tip
3) I wanted to use water decals

So the first thing I did was reshape my nails into more of an almond shape and less of an oval shape, then I used two costs of my favorite base coat and waited until the next day. I sometimes like to give my nails one or two days with nothing but base coat on. Now the next day/night I used a pink french base coat let that dry, then using a striping brush and a dark pink polish and made an X ,once that was dry I filled in the blank space with a white polish  and then add one coat of top coat.

Once the whole nail was dry I used some water decals I featured in this blog post and as I said in that post you need to have 100% dry nails before you apply the decals. If you all would like a full review/full photo line up of all the decals I have then please let me know in the comments below. Any way once I applied the decals to all 10 fingers I added one more coat of my qdtc (quick dry top coat) and I was done here is one more picture of the manicure:

I hope you all enjoy this manicure as much as I do and if there is something you would like to see then please let me know down below.

That's all for now folks ttyl,

Glow in the dark Moon phase nails

I have been seeing moon phase nails everywhere so when I saw these on pinterest I knew I had to give them a shot.

needed better clean up
omg they glow!
What I used:
Milani: Black swift
Kleancolor: White
Kleancolor: Metallic black
China Glaze: ghoulish glow
NYC: Matte me crazy

I started with a coat of the black then I used a ripped up makeup sponge, the metallic black and dabbed it in randoms places over my nail. Then using the white and a large dotting tool I made the different moon phase shapes. Once the moons were dry I again used the makeup sponge and the metallic black and dotted it over the moons. I then added a coat of my quick dry top coat and your done........ or so I thought

As I sat there looking at my done manicure I was happy but I wanted more for it. So I grabbed my glow in the dark polish and put it over the moons then I used my matte top coat and I was finally super happy with it.

Well folks there you have it my version of the popular Moon phase nails. I hope you all like them let me know what you think in the comments below.

Talk to you all later,
xoxo Stephanie
