Pinterest inspired nails

So I found this picture on Pinterest and I wanted to give it a go.

Step 1: I started with a dark purple, lighter purple, pink and light blue. I made a diagonal line keeping the polish kind of thick.
Step 2: Then I took a clean stripper brush and pulled through all the colors to the tip.
Step 3 : While the polish was still wet I added some gems and star shaped nail art spangles
Step 4: Add top coat
Step 5: Clean up

This is how it turned out.

Now I know they don't look just like the Pinterest picture but hey ho I still like them. The polish did take a while to dry even with a quick dry top coat because the polish had to be kind of thick so you can pull the brush through. I really hope you all like these as much as I do. I you try them out I would love to see what colors you use and how they turn out. you can show me on my FacebookTwitter or Instagram don't forget to tag me and use the #bewitchingnails

Leopard Christmas

So these are just like any other leopard print nails but with Christmas colors. I used a medium sized dotting tool and a smaller dotting tool. Not much else to say about them really.

So I hope you like them and if you try them I would love to see. You can tag me on Twitter or instagram using the #bewitchingnails

Christmas tree nails

These have to be one of my favorite nails of this whole mix manicure. It was super easy and took like no time.

1) I painted my nail white and let it dry completely
2) then using two pieces of tape for the cutter side I made a triangle
3) paint it green
4) remove the tape before it dries
5) then using a stopping brush and a multi glitter polish add the garland
6) add a clear gem or star to the top
7) and top coat.

That's it your done.

I hope you all enjoyed this one and give it a go. If you do try it I would love to see it. You can tag me on twitter or instagram using the #bewitchingnails

Christmas dots

I did these dots a little while ago. You can see the post here so I won't be going it to any details :)

Hope you like this version of this manicure.

Christmas bows

I used a super small pointy dotting tool for these bows because I am rubbish with a nail art brush. To be honest I am not 100% happy with how these came out but that's OK I can try again some time.

I hope you like and if you try them I would love to see. You can tag me on Twitter or instagram using the #bewitchingnails

Holiday sweater nail

I did a holiday mix manicure and thought it would be a nice idea to do a post in all the nails.

So this is my Christmas sweater nail. Now it needs some work but I am happy with the outcome. I used a nail art brush* , red polish and white polish.

*I am getting use to using brushes

I hope you like it and if you try it out I would love to see. You can tag it on Twitter or instagram using the #bewitchingnails

Snowman nails

Hey there everyone I've got another nail post for you. I actually filmed a video of these cute little guys but my camera hates me and the footage was messed up. I will figure out what is going on and film my next manicure.
The nails:
I used a light blue shimmer polish as a base. Then using a medium sized dotting tool I tipped my nails with white. Using the same dotting tool I made it snow. Moving on to a bigger sized dotting tool and the white polish I started to build the snowman. Once I was done building the snowman I moved to a smaller dotting tool and a black polish I added the eyes, smile and buttons. Lastly using an orange polish and a pointy tool I added a little carrot nose.

You can get dotting tools from bornprettystore.com they have loads of nail and beauty stuff and if you do place an order be sure to use this code

Random dot manicure

Well this was a pretty easy manicure to do the only hard part was picking the colors. I picked wet cement from wetnwild and white but you can use whatever colors you want. The only tools I needed were some doting tools but you can use anything you have to create a dot.

I think this is a cute and simple manicure. I am going to try it again with other colors, when I do I will post them on my instagram. Well that's all for now I hope you like it and if you recreate this manicure I would love to see. Don't forget to use the #bewitchingnails on instagram and twitter

Shine of the times vs Luxe and lush

Not all flaky nail polishes are the same some have big flakes that are more spread out and some have smaller flakes that are clumped together. I only have two flaky polishes and they are two of the most popular ones Essie Shine of the times and China Glaze Luxe and lush. But I wanted to know just how different these two really were so I painted my nails black and put a coat of luxe and lush on (since it was new to my collection) I already had and older picture of me wearing shine of the times over black.

So lets see the pictures:

Here is essie as you can see it has smaller pieces and more of them:
outside in natural light
Here is the china glaze it has bigger pieces and less of them:

Here they are side by side in natural light:

  On the nails:

Essie shine of the times over black nail polish.

China Glaze luxe and lush over black nail polish.

So I really love them both to be honest. Shine of the times is great for all over flaky goodness and I like Luxe and lush for just a little flaky goodness, plus if I wanted to I could do some kind of nail art over the china glaze.

Well that is all for now. What do you all think? Which one is your favorite?

Talk to you all later,
xoxo Stephanie

Funfetti Nails

I wanted to do something cute, colorful and easy. So I painted my nails white and I have this chunky glitter top coat that I never used so I figured why not. And I just layered it at the base of my nails and lightly brushed some to the tip. Here is the outcome I love it so much. If you try this I would love to see on instagram use the #bewitchingnails

Talk to you all soon,

Winter foot care

Now I know I don't have the mist beautiful feet in the world but I do like them soft. And who doesn't like soft feet right?

Anyway I thought it would be a good idea to write a post on how I keep my feet soft. I know it says winter foot care but really I do this all year round.

It is picture time:

Here are the bottom of my feet before I start the grating process.

Picture taken with phone

Picture taken with phone

These are the products that I use:

I have tried many lotions and foot creams to help with my feet but none of them worked on my feet like O'Keeffe's . It is a thick paste that you rub over your foot after you shower or before bed .  Side note you don't need to use a whole bunch of this stuff I have been on the same pot for almost a year.

I use the Revlon Pedi-Expert I like it a lot better then the Ped egg because of the metal buffing side. The ped egg has a paper one that on some models you can replace but on the Revlon on it is metal and never needs replacing.

So after my shower I use the grating attachment only if I haven't been caring for my feet as much, then I will buff off the rough bits from grating and finish up with my beloved O'Keeffe's  foot paste put on some thick socks and I am done.

My feet after:

I put the O'Keeffe's on every night after my shower and I use the Revlon foot scrapper once or twice a month I should use the buffer part once a week but I sometimes forget to be honest. So I hope you all liked this post and it informational if you have tried any of these things or end up tiring any of these products then please let me know.

Until next time talk to you later,
xoxo Stephanie

Nail update and new manicure

I have been growing my nails out for a bit now but they were yellow and stained even though I use a base coat every time. So i buffed my nails off and got some of the yellow off and just to give them a fresh go I cut them. As sad as it was to cut them I knew it had to be done.

here they are before the big chop and after the big chop
Well now that they were cut I needed a cute nail design to put on them. So I was looking up mint and pink nail art on Google and I found this really cute one from The Crafty Ninja  now I didn't do it that way she did but I did really like the design.
so this is what I came up with

I hope you all like it and if you try it out please show me on either my instagram , facebook or twitter

Nail repair

I had a tear in my right thumb nail and two in my left, but they are to low for me to cut. So I watched several videos on YouTube on how to repair a torn nail and saw these two products used the most, so I figured I would give it a go. If you would like a tutorial let me know. Ttyl xoxo Stephanie

49ers nails

Hey everyone!  So I did my nails for the Super Bowl and here they are.

Items I used

One coat of the red, gold and black polish

Two coats of red and gold. Using a large dotting tool and red polish I made an oval on my ring finger.

Using a sponge I dabbed on the red concentrating it more at the tip.

Using the pointy side of my dotting tool and white polish I wrote SF. Then I added the gold around the red oval using the same dotting tool.

Once again using the pointy side of my dotting tool I wrote the number 7 and Kap. Then I outlined  the 7 in black.

Done with no top coat.

I hope you enjoyed this post. GO NINERS!!! xoxo Stephanie
